Hey Girlies!
I know it's been a while since I posted :P Sorry about that! I'm back now just in time to share some fun stuff going on at the moment. Read till the end to hear about my special announcement. :)
Yesterday (Saturday), Maggie and I hung out for a bit. It was really nice to see her as we hadn't hung out for a long time! As I've already written about previously, several of my friends are going on a trip to New York with their choir (ConBrio) to perform at Carnegie Hall. I'm so excited for them and this amazing opportunity! Please pray for them as they perform on Monday. :)
McKenna is also a part of this choir so that's why she isn't in any of these pictures. She was missed, though! <3 Here's what Maggie and I did yesterday.
I met with Maggie at the mall at about 1:30. We walked around until we found a nice place to sit down, and then we talked for about an hour and a half. Then we went into Sephora and Maggie decided to make me over. I absolutely love makeup, but I cannot apply it for the life of me. All I ever wear is concealer and mascara, so the gold eyeshadow and brown eyeliner that Maggie applied definitely changed my look up a bit. I liked it and wished that I would be able to adapt it into my regular makeup routine, but 1. I knew that I would never be able to apply it like Maggie did and 2. the palette that she used was way too expensive. After I tried (and utterly failed) at attempting the same look on Maggie, we bought two face masks to use later (which were the only things in the entire store that we could actually afford). Then We decided to go into a prom dress store and try on some dresses (even though we knew that most of them cost wayyy too much money). The first one I tried on (the white one) was super tiny, and I knew that my mother would never let me go out in it. I loved the second on I tried on, however, and it was only $100, which is super inexpensive for a prom dress. Here are the pictures ^_^
After we were done trying on dresses, we headed into the food court and shared a plate of sesame chicken (my treat ^_^) Then Maggie drove us to my house. We enjoyed the long car ride as we talked and jammed to some good songs, including "Starving" by Haillee Steinfeld, "Classic" by MKTO, and "I Knew You Were Trouble" by good ol' Taylor Swift.
When we arrived, we went up to my room and talked before heading outside to jump on our trampoline and to take pictures. We had a mini photo shoot of each other before we took some together. Here are the ones from the photo shoot.
I am aware that is photo is extremely flattering.
Thennn we tried to take some Tumblr-esque ones together. We didn't have anybody to take photos of us, so we had to compromise. We set Maggie's phone down on the windowsill that faces our trampoline and set the 10-second timer. That's right, we had a total of ten seconds to bolt towards the trampoline, jump onto it ninja-style, spring back up, and smile. I don't think I've ever run so fast. I felt like one of those Olympic runners that have to jump over the hurdles... but I think it's safe to say that I was a lot less graceful. I banged my knee on the metal about 10 times. As you can probably guess, NONE of those pictures turned out great. We decided to give up and try to do some cute pictures on top of Maggie's car. Again, we didn't have anybody to take pictures for us, so we ended up trying to balance her phone on top of an old high chair and a storage bin. Again, we had to set the timer, run to her car (even though it was like five feet away) hop on top of it, and try to find a cute pose in the remaining three seconds. Like the trampoline ones, they turned out a mess. I finally recruited my brother Caleb to come and help us and the pictures actually turned out pretty great! Here they are below :D
Then we went inside, filled up the bathtub with hot water, and soaked our feet while we had the face masks on. After that we had a picnic on the bathroom floor of brownie bites and milk while we looked & laughed over the photos we had taken. We turned the ugly ones into memes (which will NEVER be posted on here or anywhere else.) Maggie went home at about 9 o' clock. I had so much fun hanging out with her and I really hope that McKenna will be able to join us next time; she was dearly missed ^_^ (McKenna: we needed you at the mall! Maggie and I kept on getting lost. That's probably why God placed you in my life tbh lol. I would constantly be lost without you. I love you! <3) Thanks for hanging out with me Maggie! You mean so much to me!
I know you're probably waiting for the "special announcement" now. Well, I can happily announce that my sweet Mama is pregnant with baby number 8! The doctor says he is "99% sure it's a girl". So hopefully, come September, we will welcome the fourth baby girl into the Bigelow family. Please pray for a safe pregnancy! :D if you have any name ideas, please let me know in the comments. Just a warning, my mother is extremely picky xD
I love you girlies! <3
